Can you still use a FP runner with new system?

I know... just part of the whole DLR experience! In discussing this later, we wondered if maybe she was scanning the reminder tickets to see how quickly people were using them. We used ours very shortly after obtaining it (really tempting with such short wait times). Maybe Disney management wants to see how people are spreading out their returns over the allowed period? Can they even get that info by scanning the reminder tickets? Or was it something specifically related to HM? That was the only ride all day where this happened. The other option is that the poor CM was confused and didn't know what was going on.

Someone else posted about a female cast member at HM trying to scan reminders and just waving people through since they don't work.

I'm trying to imagine the look on her face when she discovered that she'd been scanning the wrong things her whole shift!

One thing that has changed is that you need your ticket in hand to redeem a FP (since you scan your ticket now to redeem FP).

So while you can still use a FP runner, they can't do the running while the rest of the group is riding something they are redeeming a FP on (since the ticket will be elsewhere).

you can scan the app with tix on your phone, so your runner can be obtaining new passes while the rest of your party is on the ride. We did this earlier this week & it worked just fine.
