From some of the info I am reading it sounds like people still ride the rides when Wishes is going on. I guess I assumed that the park sort of "shut down" and started closing at that point. Am I wrong? We always seem to hurry and leave and I think we are missing a lot of things. One thing is we never knew about the "kiss goodnight". I'd love to see it. I also think it would be exciting to ride a ride with fireworks going on around you. :)

All the rides are going on while the fireworks are going on. If you have seen the show I suggest riding the rides because there are few lines and castmembers may let you ride twice. It is a great opportunity to get a couple of attarctions in before the park closes.

By all means We rode Dumbo while Wishes was going on last time and it was extra special

omg there are like absolutely no lines when this is going on....adventure laand was a ghost town when we did this

Hubby and I were in WDW in February for our 10 year anniversary (our honeymoon was my first time at Disney) and one night we rode splash mountain during the fireworks. Had a whole boat to ourselves and when we would get to the parts of the ride where you go outside we were treated to a SPECTACULAR view of the fireworks. Very romantic!

I have heard that splash is a must during wishes. Mykids and I cant wait to try it in october. Gosh, that seems so far away.

I got to ride Dumbo with my 2 year old Grandson during the fireworks. It was like being under a canopy of fireworks. Definitely a favorite moment from the trip. He was in awe of them and Grammy was in awe of the look in his eyes. :)

IN January my kids ran over to Splash and it was closed.

It may depend on when closing time is. If Wishes is at closing time, they will shut down the lines at closing time (you can still ride if you are already in line). If Wishes is before closing time, then everything should operate as normal during the fireworks (except the train, which closes during fireworks due to fallout in the back of the park).

Thanks for the info. Our first night we are doing the Wishes Cruise. Now I want to spend an evening riding rides with the fireworks. I think my DS's would love that.

These boards are great because I learn something new all the time to make our trip even better than the time before. Thanks!!! :flower:

We thought it was cool walking through Fantasyland during Wishes(we had seen the show several times). :earsboy:
