Can you still make ADR's 180 days out with no dining plan?

Hi all,
After looking closer at the math it just won't save us any money to get the dining plan. But I would still like to do some character dining with my DD's. Can I still call 180 days before our trip and make reservations for character dining or is that just a perk of the dining plan?

You absolutely can make adr's 180 days out without the dining plan. We have never gotten the dining plan, and always do character meals.

There is only one condition I am aware of in relation to making ADR's and that is if you are staying on-site, you can not only start making your ADR's 180 days from your first day, you can also make ADR's for all of your vacation days (up to ten) on that first day. So, for instance, if your trip is going to be ten days long, you could actually make an ADR for your last vacation day 190 days ahead. I make all my ADR's for my whole trip in one phone call. You can also make ADR's if you stay off site, but only 180 days ahead, to the exact day.

I hope I understand this right, and am explaining it right.

Cool! We are staying on site. Only about one more month until our 180 days so I need to start planning. I wish the October extra magic hours schedule was out already. I want to plan our park visits around the extra hours and then plan our meal around which park we will be visiting that day. I hope it comes out before our 180 days
