can you stay at DVC without owning?

I am sure this is a dumb question, but what if we just wanted to go stay at the DVC in Vero Beach, is that possible? If so, how do you make reservations?

If you can just go stay there, can someone point me to a thread about what it's like? Kids are 9 and 6...

i went to expedia for hotels and typed in "vero beach, fl" and got "disney's vero beach resort" as an option, so that's one option.
