Can you stand another MYW ticket question? Not sure which one to get!

DH and I are going for our third trip at the end of January. We went for our honeymoon, our 2 year anniversary, and now my birthday. After every trip, we have said, this will be our last trip for a while, then we end up going back.

However, it looks as if THIS might be our last one for a while as we plan on starting a family soon.

So here is my dilemma....get the 7 day premium MYW ticket OR the 10 day premioum MYW with no expiration for about 100 more? I talked to DH, he said "whatever you think is best". Well, that's the problem, I think the 10 day one is the best BUT that could just be wishful thinking on my part, hoping to con him into going back again.

So what is your opinion?

Also, I think I am going to order them from Ticketmania. Decent prices and free shipping for right now. For those who have ordered from Ticketmania, how long did it take to receive in the mail? We leave on the 29th, if I order them tomorrow or Thurday, will that be enough time?

Thanks! This place has been great for info and help! BigV has been especially helpfull too!

I have not ordered from Ticketmania yet. I will be sending off my payment to them (priority wth delivery confirmation) and having them deliver them to our hotel a week from Friday. They are saving us $35 after I subtract the cost to send them their payment. They seem to be VERy reliable and I trust everyone when they say there have been no problems. They say regular shipping 8-12 days and it seems 12 is closer since it takes them a few days to process.

As far as which ticket to get....I would get the 10 day with no expiration. The baby will be free until it is 3 years old, so if you have your tickets already it is the perfect excuse to go back!!

A 5 day for myself and my 2 daughters is $627.29... a 10 day is only $977.68... a difference of only $350.I am buying the 10 day... our stay is only for 5, we live in OHio.. but I know someday, somehow I will get back..... also having the ticket in hand makes planning 2006, 2007 or whenever a great deal.... as I will be saying... we we only need airfare and hotel.. we already have tickets :cool1: I would definitely buy the 10 for only 100 bucks difference. good luck and have fun conceiving.. hehe....

It depends how many days you are going to spend in the park. If you are only going to spend 5 days, or maybe 6, then go for the 10 day ticket. If you are going to spend 7 days in the park, the 10 day might not work because then on your return trip you will only have 3 park days. However, since you are getting the premium, you can probably do only 5 park days this trip and spend a couple of other days just using the plusses. If that's the case, then definitely get the 10 day. Remember they NEVER expire, so you could wait 5-10 years to use them again, but who are we kidding?

Well, we were planning on 7 days in the parks, but.....that has been open for discussion. We know we are doing at least 1 day at SeaWorld. And the Saturday we get in, that night we have tickets for Cirque. So we may spend less days than that in the parks.

We really don't plan out every minute, but kind of go with the flow. PLUS we will have a rental car and are open to exploring a bit of Orlando, as long as I get my Disney Fix!

Thanks for the suggestions, that is how I have been leaning. I mean for now 100 bucks for 3 extra days could be worth it depending on ticket prices in a few years?

I'd get the 10-day no expire. Even if you think you won't be back for a few years, it's still probably the better bargain.
Even if you think you'd use 7 days of it, and have only 3 left, you can always get another 10-day next time, then you'll still have plenty left for that third trip! (I'm a compulsive advance planner!)
Plus, having unused "free" (i.e. already-paid-for) tickets sitting there will make it easier to convince your DH to go back sooner!! We just took our 6-month-old DD for a week and had a blast!

I agree. I was going to purchase a 5 day, then I looked at the 10 day passes. The difference was only 80 per ticket. I think I am going to buy the 10 and that way we will be WAY ahead for the next trip. My son is only 3 so I have plenty of time to convince my hubby to go back in a few years. (Saying, look at how much cheaper it will be this time.) LOL

One good thing is if you decide to go for the 7 day ticket through a ticket broker, such as Ticketmania and decide to change it for the 10 day, you can upgrade it at the parks within 7 days of use. You cannot go backwards, though... so you can't downgrade from a 10 day to a 7 day. Something to keep in mind when ordering.

Eyeore, that is some good information! We will probably be buying from ticketmania and need to do so here shortly so that they will be delivered on time and so I can get them on this months Disney Visa statement.

DH and I were talking some more about this and he actually brought up a point. It may seem like it is saving us money at this time, but on our next trip it may be more expensive because we will have to buy a shorter ticket to supplement the 3 or 4 days we will already have. And if Disney continues the trend of paying more for shorter stays, than it may not be worth it.

I definintely see his point, so perhaps in your case, it would be best all around to go with the 7 day ticket and if you need more, you will be able to upgrade while you are there within that 7 day time frame.
