Can you share ipod apps?

Each of my DD's got an ipod touch for Christmas. Is there anyway they can share any apps that they may buy? They each have their own itunes account from their prior ipod nanos.

They automatically share w/ each other if they're on the same itunes account. We found this out yesterday when we added an itouch to our iphone account.

You can put an app or video on up to 5 devices...it may be an issue if they have separate accounts. We have one account and have 5 devices on it - two Touches, 2 iPhones, and 1 Nano video.

If they all share an account, can they just pick the things that they want on their touch? And can they each have money from an itunes gift card that they choose to spend for apps? For example, my younger DD is into jonas brothers, but older DD isn't. If younger DD puts them on itunes, does older DD have to sync those onto her's too?

I have an itunes acct that has one music library. I have my dh's iphone, my original shuffle, and my new nano and I move the music from the library onto any of the devices I want. Does that answer your question? I've not added an itunes gc as we have our acct linked to our debit card, so I'm not sure if each girl adds an itunes card, if those are separate.

You can share an account and set it up for multiple users, each person makes their own playlists. You can put any song/app onto 5 devices. So yes they can share apps. Always search for a free app that does the same thing as a paid for app. We buy very few.

DS15 figured it out pretty easily and now my nephew has all DS's apps without having to pay for them. He is going to buy some DS doesn't have and let DS download them as well.

The money will all be together...we haven't figured out how to (or if we can) separate it. It hasn't been a big issues for us, so we haven't actually addressed it.

As for apps, each time you sync the iPod, you can pick & choose which apps, even which episodes, to sync. For example, all of the Disney apps are on mine but my son and husband only add them to their devices if we are actually going on a trip.

actually you can share apps with up to 5 devices.

Does anyone know whether it counts as one of your 5 downloads if your ipod does and you have to replace it? I know my son has had to do that once.

I had to replace my iphone, first one had an issue and was brand new, so we now have two devices on our acct, my new iphone and my DS touch.

So I believe once you replace it you just remove it from the device list.
