Ok, I know you really shouldn't share, but I just have to ask. I have a friends that are going to WDW next week. They were going to buy a 5 day hopper pass. I just booked a trip to Orlando as I had a SWA credit that had to be used by 11/1/06. Thus, I am not even sure if I can really afford to go to Disney, but the thought occured to me, it they purchased a 7 hopper ticket (with the no expiration addition) could I use they add'l 2 days that my friends would not use on their trip. I guess what I am asking is would their name/photo be own there ticket to prevent me (or anyone else) from using the tickets after their visit?

Thanks Y'All,

All of the parks now use a finger scan to identify the person with the ticket. So no you wouldnt be able to use them.

You can't share the park tickets anymore. Like the poster above me said, they are now doing finger scans.

With the old scanners, it'd be hit or miss. They don't work, and when they don't most of the staff just lets you through. But there's always one who takes their job very seriously and checks for ID and just will not let the ticket holder (whether they are honestly using thier own ticket and it is Disney's bad machine at fault or they are a dishonest ticket-sharer) through the gate. So, there's a chance you'd get caught.

The new scanners (when I was there last, they were only at MK) seem to be working, so I don't know if you could get through on those or not.

Just curious, where & when do they scan your finger? If hopper passes are bought orginally at The Disney Store do they scan your finger there, or the first time you use them at them gate?

Thanks Y'All

The first person who uses the ticket gets their fingers scanned with it. The scan is then linked by computer to the tickets. It isn't a fingerprint they use, but a biometric scan that measures your fingers. If you used the ticket first, they couldn't and vice-versa.

They scan it at the park. Again, the old machines are hit and miss and the new machines work.

Don't count on getting in on someone else's ticket.
