can you sell me on the Contemporary?

It will be myself and DD4 traveling in the summer and looking for a monorail resort. Poly and Grand Floridian are too expensive as are the tower rooms, so I am thinking of a Garden Wing. There's not much of a theme here, but I was always amazed at the monorail going through the building as a child. Can you tell me what you love about this resort? What would my four year old like? How's the pool area? How far to walk to MK from the garden wing? Anything else you can add? This is our first trip to WDW and I want it to be extra special
