Can you see Shuttle Launches from Boat?

Can you see shuttles going off from way down Miami coast way?


ie July 24th on the At Sea Day before Castaway Cay on the Western Cruise???????????????

My estimate would be that you could not see anything from that far away.

Miami is at least 200 land miles from Cape Canaveral. You'll likely be farther than that as you travel around the Florida Keys and head towards the Bahamas and Castaway Cay.

Your best bet to see anything at all from that distance would be if it was a launch after dark when the solid rocket booster engines are more visible.
