I purchased an our generation table and chairs set for dolls at target for Christmas. Now, for the second time in less than a month the table top has broken off from the base. The first time I glued it back together.

I know i tossed the receipt. It was $45.00 and my daughter loves it. Seems like it should have lasted at least a month or more.

Can i return this?

if you bought it on a debt or credit card they can look up your receipt and then you will be able to return or exchange it

The only problem that might come up is that you already glued it once. Good luck !

I would exchange it. Get another one and hope that it is made better. Maybe the other one had a flaw or they forgot to screw something together at the factory. I don't think you need a receipt for an exchange of broken merchandise at Target. I think it should have lasted a long time.

I belong to an American Girl chat forum and this table has a reputation for breaking. If you can exchange it, when you assemble the new one you should just go ahead and glue it together. Maybe add a peg if possible. I haven't seen this table in person but I know that this is what others have done.

The only problem would be if you didn't buy it with a debit/credit card, you may find you get less than $45 for it. Target's policy is without a receipt, you get the lowest price the item has been. So if it was on sale at any point, that's all you get. Have you considered contacting the manufacturer about it? It sounds like a defect and their customer service may be able to help you.
