Can you request a specific room?

It is possible to request a specific room number? I am such a rules person, I have never asked for anything like that before. We go at the end of January so the resort is never full, in fact it is pretty dead. We loved our room so much last year and it was close to the elevator (DH has a bulging disc) Will they try to accommodate or will they think I'm just a high maintenance guest

I think you'll have better luck with a specific area rather than a room number. If that specific room number is booked, then they won't know where to place you. Better to go with something like "5th floor, north wing, near elevator".

It's possible to request it but that doesn't mean you will get it. The one time I requested a specific room #, I ended up on the other side of the resort. I agree that you are better off requesting a description of the room (near elevator, 4th floor, etc).

you can always request anything - but if you request a room you will NOT be given it.

like everyone says request the area - and mention his medical problem. you might get an even better room.

You can. The odds of getting a specific room are not good though. The problem with it is - if that room is not available, they have no way of knowing why you chose that room, so they could put you anywhere in the building. It is better to make general requests like "close to elevator"

Yes you can....I did and got the famed 4021 at GF! But my request was room 4021 or any turret room. Obviously your reservation needs to be in the same class as the room you want.
