can you request a fun server at 50's PT?

We have an ADR for 50's Prime Time in December. We have never been there before, but it seems each person's experience there is so different, and a lot of it seems based on how fun the servers are. I have read where some servers don't interact with the customers at all, and others are a blast and are funny and silly.
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried asking for a "fun server" when you first check in with your ADR? Would they honor a request like that, or will they think we are totally annoying?

We had Uncle Charlie the last trip and he was a HOOT! I'd ask for him again for sure. He gave me such a hard time about my nosering- he had this look of horror on his face and asked if I was ok after the fishing accident with dad and why I didn't go to the hospital to get the hook taken out.

Last year, we had an awesome waitress named Aunt Janice. We would LOVE to see her again. She actually came and sat with our family for awhile and talked. She told us a little about her life, she felt like family.

See, I would LOVE to do this, and even whispering canyon?? I'm a good sport, and could put up with a little fun, BUT it would drive me bonkers if they just would NOT let up. If they had some cue, or just knew when to back off that would be great. After all I did go there to eat also.

I just think that after a while, and I was 'done with the fun' if they kept it up, it would just ruin it for me.

I have a very good sense of humor, but I just worry that it would ruin your meal.

I have requested a "fun server" (my exact words) on 2 out of 3 visits. I have yet to get a REALLY fun one. I have seen other servers being much sillier with their tables than the ones we have gotten, but we'll keep trying. We like 50's, and it is one place DS will actually EAT his food.

Two years ago, we got a wonderful man, named Tofor or something close to that. He was fantastic!!!!!! Last year, we had a nice lady but not too much in character. Does anyone know if Tofor is still there?

Topher was still at 50's PTC as of last September. We had him and he was a riot. He had my 11 year old daughter blushing and my other 2 kids were nearly on the floor laughing. I would love to have him again. We are going again this September and this restaurant is a must do for us.

On the other hand, can you request a toned down server? I've never gone here because the 'entertainment' would drive me crazy but the food looks good and I'd like to try it.

Thank you for posting so quickly about Topher!!!! I am so looking forward to him this year! He is so funny! My DD has a diamond stud in her cheek (ech!) and he teased the daylights out of her and her girls really got a kick out of it!!! Now I am taking the girls in August, and cannot wait for him to get them!!!!

Last time someone on the dis boards recommended Auntie Claire so we requested her. She was a hoot! She was a lot of fun and even created a photo album of her "cousins". It had a lot of pictures and nice letters guests wrote thanking her for such good service and we made sure we sent her pictures and a letter too.
