So I was just wondering if there is a way to use resort amenities if not staying at the resort? Such as using the pool???

Thank you!!!

No, there's no way to be able to use the pool.

Of course, you can eat and shop and that sort of thing.

You could call and ask, but I don't think they offer such a thing.

One year, we were dying to use the Poly pool so we booked our very last night of our trip there. We spent the day and night making use of the pool & facilities there-it was awesome!!! We cannot afford to stay at Poly for an entire trip (or even half a trip!!), but one night was definately worth it!

We experienced the luxury of taking the monorail, relaxed at the pool, watched Wishes from the beach, & explored the grounds.

Actually the GF spa does offer day passes. Locker room, and pool access, I wanna say it is $15? for a day.

Sorry. Not gonna happen. I know a lot of people do it, and have admitted so on the boards, of course they get flamed for doing so. LOL But it's not advised to do so, think of your spending lots of money to stay at the deluxe resorts and not being able to enjoy the pool or other things because to many people are there from other resorts. See where I'm going with this?
I do have to say there are still fun places to stay that have great pools, see if the moderates appeal to you. We stay at the POP and we looove it, but then again we've not been that many times to start staying at the resorts more, we are still in the park mode. And most people who've never been think they will want to do more pool time then they really end up doing anyway. (me included) The POPs pool has all that we need, and my dd doesn't know any different,(we only did the pool twice and for short times due to other plans and ADR's) when we start getting to the point we want to do parks AND the resorts then we will consider doing another kind of resort that has more to offer us.

If pools or pool slides are the major attraction, remember that there are always the water parks! Lots more to see and do at the water parks than any of the resort pools (wave pools & swimming with sharks, for example). All you need to do is add the 'WP & more' option to your MYW tickets, or purchase a single day admission at the gate.

And if you really have your heart set on trying out a specific resort's pool & amenities, then why not just splurge and pay to stay there for a single night?

ok, let's try this again...

from the allearsnet.com website...

What is the Grand Floridian Spa & Health Club and what can I find there?

The Spa & Health Club at the GF offers spectacular service at a top-of-the-line facility. Among the treatments offered are massage therapies, skin care, water therapies, soothing soaks, body treatments, hand and foot treatments, and lifestyle services. A variety of spa packages are available, including spa services for families. Membership at the health club is free to resort guests for the length of their stay. Guests from other Disney resorts can use the facilities for $12/day, based on availability. The spa is managed by Niki Bryan -- for more details, visit the Niki Bryan website HERE.

I would put the link to their website, but it is a deep link to the bottom of a page. So once again, yes, at the GF you can get a day pass to the spa and use the facilities... this is not that same as pool hopping.

That means the fitness facilities mentioned in the previous sentence not the pool. That has been the policy at all the fitness facilities.

Here's the blurb from the DIS and the link to the page:

If you are not staying at one of these resorts and would like to use a workout center, you may do so by paying $12.00 a day (subject to availability.) Please note that if you schedule a spa treatment, you may use the fitness center that day for no additional charge.
