We purchased 2 direct - all paid on Disney Visa, and one through Fidelity - the same $2K max others have mentioned.
I didn't have to use 2 cards for the first direct purchase, but I did need Disney to stagger the charges to keep it under our limit. The price was around $20K so I asked to have two separate $10K charges about 2 weeks apart so we would have the first charge paid before the 2nd charge hit - and could keep using the card for normal charging.
And yes - we pay off the card every month and never carry a balance (including the DVC purchases). We just max the heck out of cards for the bonuses. I even asked our bank one time about paying our mortgage via CC (no dice).
