Can you purchase DDP on offsite stay?

Staying off site this year and wanted to ask, can the DDP be purchased by itself or do you need to be booked at a WDW resort?

I believe you can only purchase DDP if you are staying at a Disney Hotel.

Also, I believe Swan, Dolphin and Shades of Green are excluded. If you stay at one of those you are not eligible for DDP either.

You can only purchase DDP if staying at a WDW resort AND booking a package (there are some ticketless options such as renting from DVC, AP holders, and military discount tickets).

Yes, you can book a ticketless AP package that includes paid dining using an AP rate or rack rate.

AP holders, like everyone else, must purchase the required tickets when booking a package that includes FREE dining.

To be clear, it has to be a Disney owned/operated resort so SOG and Swan and Dolphin are excluded.
