Can you punch a little hole in the top of your room key?

I was wondering if I could punch a little hole at the top of my room key so I could connect it to my lanyard incase I lose it.

Just don't punch a hole through the magnetic stripe. If you do it on the opposite end of the arrow and at the bottom you should be OK.

The CM who checks you in may actually do this for you if you ask. A couple of years ago, we had 2 rooms at POR and the kind CM punched Mickey shaped holes into the room keys for one of the rooms so we could tell the key cards apart.
