My daughter is being married in November (2015). Ceremony at Sea Breeze Point, reception at Ariel's and a dessert party at UK Lochside. Can anyone post a (recent) budget to give us an idea of the final cost. She is expecting about 26 guests. Many thanks for any help!!!

Brunch, lunch or dinner reception? That plays a big part in the cost factor

This thread has fairly recent BEOs at the end of it:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2182201

The prices for individual items haven't changed that much - it's just the minimum requirements that have changed:

Ceremony: $3,500 + 6.5% tax = $3,728

Reception: 28 people x $175/person food and beverage minimum = $4,900 + 23% service charge and 6.5% tax = $6,419

Enhancement minimum: $5,000/$8,000/$10,000 depending on what day of the week the ceremony is. Tax and service charge vary depending on what you get.

Dessert party : $250 venue rental fee + $460 food and beverage minimum plus $280 in new, mandatory, dumb viewing fees: about $1,150 including tax and service charge if you walk in from the International Gateway instead of getting transportation.

You can work with your planner to stick to those food and beverage minimums by customizing your menus. :thumbsup2

The new $10 viewing fee for everyone whether they have a ticket or not really sucks. Most of our guests were going to the park the day of the dessert party, so this is costing us about $400.

We were also recently told the minimum for the dessert party was getting raised too....but since we have 50 people, we didn't follow up.

Our wedding is in 11 weeks, but they said it would take 4-5 weeks to get our BEO....We are doing nothing special really....

That stinks about the change in viewing fees. Out of curiosity, is that billed BOC where you'd be refunded after the event based on who actually had ticket on the evening of?

It seems like it's a new flat fee whether you have valid admission or not so it sounds like no refunds with this new policy. We just got our budget a few weeks ago and it included a $12.95 viewing fee BOC and refunds for those who have tix. Honestly, the new flat fee sounds a bit cleaner. With 50 people, you need 12 guests with valid park admission to break even. I am not sure we will have that many. We are having a brunch reception and we think some guests will go in to epcot before the dessert party, but I am not sure how we will manage making sure they all get swiped.

We're getting married in just under three weeks on a Sunday at Sea Breeze Point with a dinner reception on Italy Isola during Illuminations. We're having 46 guests and a dessert party the night before at Porte Cochere and our final bill to Disney is basically $30,000. We have a considerable amount of floral and transportation though, along with a DJ, so we are spending more on enhancements than what we're required to. I hope that helps give you a general idea.

Does anyone know when the viewing fee rule changed? We signed our Escape contract back in September, I've read through it and it does mention the viewing fee, but doesn't specify if it's for everyone or just those without park tickets. Am I going to be hit with a bit of a shock when my BEO comes through?

Sorry to derail the thread a little!

Just in January. If it's not in your contract that you have to pay $10 for each guest regardless of admission, you should not have to pay it.

Ours mentions a $12.95 fee so hoping ours is under the old rules still then. Thanks Carrie!

Are you using Disney photography?
