Can you pick your rooms in WL & GF?

We will be in WDW from 12/3-12/12/05 splitting the stay between WL (Courtyard) and GF (Lagoon). Does anyone have suggestions for room requests? Rooms to stay away from? What is the best way to increase your chance of getting your request honored?

I can help you out with the GF, but I'm not familiar with the WL at all. You mentioned having a lagoon view room booked at the GF and I'm guessing that you'd probably like to see the castle if possible. What I would do, is to request a room in either the Sago Cay or Conch Key building on your reservation. Due to their positions on the resort grounds, you have a really good chance at an MK view from their lagoon rooms. If you look at the picture like a clock, the MK is somewhere between 3 and 4 o'clock. Sago Cay is the building on the far right and Conch Key is just to the right of the boat dock.
