Cash only? We leave in 9 days and are on the deluxe didning plan. DH was wondering whether he can pay for his alcohol drinks, any kid's meals we order for our 21 mo old DGS and the tips with his credit card or does he need to bring cash for these? We know these three items are not covered by the dining plan.

Also when it says "one non-alcohol drink" is covered (ice tea, coffee, soda) does this include free refills of these as well or just is it one serving of soda, tea, coffee, etc and you have to pay for refills?

What about shakes and malts, lemonade? Are these also considered drinks covered by the plan?

Please help!

put everything on our room during the trip. It prevents us from carrying other credit cards and very much cash. I usually have a few dollars in case some cart's billing equipment is not working.

Tea, sodas and water have always been free refills. I don't know about the rest.

If we charge the extras ( drinks, kid's meal and tip) to our room key, won't they charge us again for the entire meal? DH is afraid they would make a mistake and charge us for things we have already paid for.

They will only charge the amount that is not covered by the dining plan. You will get a slip that shows how many dining plan credits were used and you will get a slip with the out of pocket charges. You can use a credit card right then to pay these charges or you can bill them back to your room and have one credit card charge at the end of your stay.

Just wanted to add:

as far as shakes, we had a server last week at Sci Fi (in DHS) that said I could get a shake for my drink. DD sat next to me, and it was a very (very) late lunch (early dinner for us, about 4pm) and I was having a beer, so I got a strawberry shake for DD to sip on (doesn't taste too good with my beer).

She said it was good - it was so thick!

I do think the server was kind of trying to get the bill higher, as he kept steering me to the pricier entrees, then said I could get a steak as they were about to switch to the dinner menu. I am glad - it was a good choice! Nice and juicy and cooked perfectly medium rare (more on the rare side, which I really like!). I didn't mind him doing that, as he did get a nice tip. The food was all very good!

I couldn't possibly have had the shake and my meal - I even cancelled my fruit for dessert. I was just too too full.

So, you probably can get a shake at Sci Fi (and I do recommend going there - we've had two excellent meals there, and it's fun!).

Now that you're original question has been answered, I just wanted to add a thought about your DGS. I had 2 children, DS3 and DD 14months, on my last trip; we were not on a dining plan, but DD was able to eat for free at all TS restaurants by sharing off our plates. Because you are on the DxDDP I will going to guess you will have MORE than enough food to fill him up! I'd recommend letting him eat some of what everyone had ordered before ordering him a meal of his own. Only time you MAY need to order a meal for him is at CS.

HTH! And have a magical trip! :wizard:

Yes, you can use your credit card. We have done this in the past when we were on the Deluxe Plan.
