Let's see how many of us could actually pass if we had to take (or re-take) the theory test today!

http://www.dsa.gov.uk/mockpaper/theoryintro.htm#

The car theory test links are to the right of the page. I did number 1 and got 31/35 so I passed! Shocking considering I haven't actually started learning to drive yet, let's hope I get a score like that in the real one.

So on your marks, get set, go! :cheer2:

PS, No looking things up in the highway code whilst doing it! :rolleyes1

Got a 33 which is amazing as I passed 17 years ago and haven't looked at a highway code since!

I got 29 so not too bad! I failed on the stopping distances and a couple of the signs, we dont have any trams here so I didnt know the signs for them!

I got 32 ~ Not bad since I passed my driving test 18 years ago

Phew - I got 32 - thank goodness. I last looked at a highway code 27 years ago when I passed my test!

I did test one and scored 35/35:Pinkbounc

I got 8 out of 35. I started to read the Highway Code once, but I got bored and just read the last page to see how it ended! :rotfl:

I actually scored 27 and you'll be relieved to know that I only got the obscure ones wrong (such as 'What should you consider when riding a motorised scooter down a Helter Skelter?' and, 'Which of these markings might you expect to see on a fire hydrant. Mark 56 of the following 94 options'). As usual with these types of test, some of them had me in stitches!

I failed too :rotfl2:

but then we have different rules of the road here in Ireland

I failed too.......27/35...:guilty:
Haven't picked up a Highway Code book since I passed my test in 1988, so I'm not surprised!

I got 30, but found it surprisingly difficult.
What the hell is a "toucan crossing" ???? Thats something new since I passed in 1988.....why wasnt I informed ?

I failed too with 28.Not good since i have only been driving since 1994. :rotfl:

Scraped through with 31 :)

Like most people I have no idea what a Toucan Crossing is? I though it might be a bad Chicken joke  Also how many places in the UK have trams, it's obviously just a question put there so that the majority of people get it wrong!

I'm glad I didn;t have to do this for real in order to get my license ;)

Oops! Failed with 28/35 :o

My excuse is the same as the rest of you...

Toucan Crossing?
Trams?

And why the heck do I need to pass a test in order to know not to leave obvious stuff lying around in my car when I leave it?!

Yeah that question annoyed me too. The test should be purely about road safety. If you don't already know that removing valuables from your car makes them less likely to be stolen (durr), then you shouldnt be on the road atall.

Furthermore, I reckon if you parked outside a permanantly manned fire station, you would indeed be less likely to have your car broken into.
