dessert on the dining plan? Since it's $14, I was wondering if it would be included or if you would have to pay for it.
Thanks :flower:

Do you mean at the Grand Floridian or at the Castle?

At the Grand Floridian it is $14 and NOT covered in the plan. It's an extra, special dessert above and beyond any meal you have at their restaurants.

At the Castle it's on the dinner menu for the 50th Celebration and is $10 but if you are on the plan, it is covered.

The question should be.."can you order the slipper for breakfast?" :rotfl:

Hi ! I don't see the "slipper" listed at dinner.. I am guessing this is an old menu at allearsnet.com but it says May 05. Can anyone confirm the "slipper" is on the dinner menu. Thanks!

I'm 100% sure it is on the menu for dinner, at least for the 50th Celebration. We'll see if they keep it after the celebrating is done. It's $10.

Thanks! I am celebrating my 40th. birthday also this year at WDW! I wished my birthday could be closer to Christmas like yours when its cooler! lol! Have fun!

Just curious, are there any differences between the two? Is it exactly the same at CRT and the GF?

What makes it so special? Could someone describe it?

I'm not on the meal plan, but I'm interested in knowing about it?

No, both the GF and the Castles are the same except I think the Castle comes with fruit on the side and not the chocolate boat...

I'll see if I can find the picture of it served at the Castle.

Is it available for Lunch at CRT? I will be trying for an AR in 29 Days :cool1: for lunch and would love to have one.

No, lunch is a different menu. It is not on the lunch menu. But, you could try and call the Castle directly and ask if you can order one special and you'd have to pay the extra $10 above the lunch set prices. Not sure if they'd be willing to do this. So far no one has had one at lunch.

The one at the castle is the white chocolate slipper with chocolate mousse filling. The mousse is very very rich and filling. The slipper is on a good size piece of angel food cake. This was the best part to us. It has an awesome taste. It comes with strawberries and blueberries on the side. It looks a little different then the GF one.

We were going to get one when we went in Feb. of this year, but forgot. What do they taste like?¿ I'm just curious.

I will be on the dining plan but the prices at WDW still "WOW" me. $14 - $10 for dessert? I would hate to be paying for it myself! Since I am not (except for having to pay for the dining plan) I will try everything I can (without exploding).

Looks good does anyone have a pic of the one at CRT?

Wow that looks good. Is is big enough to share! That is a good thing since we will be doing that at CRT. Thanks for the pic!!!
:cloud9:

besunnysideup - definitly share it. My mom and I got one and then my sister and her DH got one. We still had some left over. Like I said before the mousse is very rich. The white choclate wasn't and the angel food cake was really good. Also they've changed it to a smaller rectangle plate.

Do they have any good appetizers? Or any favorite meals for Dinner?

Thanks for the info. That sounds yummy.

We are going for lunch but if I placed an order for the slipper could I " pick it up " later? :rotfl:

Besunnysideup - Our whole meal was awesome. Apps we had prosciutto and mozzarella, ceasar salad, and my dad got the cream of chicken soup. We had 7 people at dinner too. The kids got the fruit and cheese app. It was all very very good. For dinner, I had the pork tenderloin which was very good too. The best part was the pasta bake that came with it. Yummy!!! ALos my dad says they have some of the best prime rib he's ever had. And that's saying a lot b/c my dad travels all over and always gets prime rib everywhere. Also they have pretzel bread which is to die for. We actually took some back the room with us.
