We have dinner reservations at Sci Fi and DH loves burgers...Can we order a burger (even though it is not on dinner menu) or are they pretty strick about sticking to what it on the menu...Just curious if anyone has ever done that before.

DH is fine with trying new things ....just thought I would ask

:goodvibes

Yes, we were able to order burgers for dinner at Sci Fi. We asked our waiter at the beginning of the meal and he told us it was no problem. :thumbsup2

We were there last Sunday night. DH and I split a burger and the family in the car with us saw it...they ended up ordering 4 burgers!

As long as they still have the ingredients available, Disney chefs are very accommodating of special requests like that. The only thing I'd be aware of is that occasionally restaurants charge a dinner price for lunch menu items ordered during dinner time.

Yes! We did in March after asking our waiter. He said many people order them for dinner and he does not know why it is not on the menu. I am pretty sure it was the same price as lunch.
Will be back there in less than a week! :teeth:

I suspect it is because it is a lower-priced menu item (especially if they don't charge a dinner price for it), so having it on the menu would probably reduce revenues, which is a bad thing for the restaurant.

We have had burgers at dinner several times without a problem. We were charged the lunch price. Bicker's post got me thinking, so I went a checked the menus at Deb's. Items served at both lunch and dinner--ribs, chicken ceasar, reuben--are priced the same at both meals. No upcharge for dinner. I would expect to just pay the lunch price as long as they had burger makings on hand. Enjoy!

Yup, I suspect it is restaurant-dependent. Check out Mama Melrose's -- same menu items have different prices. I suspect that's the kind of place where they'll charge a dinner price for a lunch menu item served at dinner.
