Can you link a Disney gift card to your hotel reservation?

We are coming down with gift cards that we have saved up and want to use them towards our hotel bill since we charge everythign to the room on our bands. is there any way to link the card upon arrival so they charges go there or do I have to go at the end of every night to swipe the card?

The charges will go to the room, but you can put a gift card against the room as a credit. Must be done at the desk.

No, you will have to give a credit (or debit) card and go down and have it charged to the gift card.

Unless it has changed very recently you can not put a Gift Card balance as a credit on your room account. You can only use it to pay down actual charges.

AS it has been stated no can not give as a credit on the room, whatI have done is set up the charging account with a normal CC, then either half way through or the day before we check out pay off what ever I have in giftcards. As the system will charge you around 130am the day of your check out then the following day after you check out if you charged anything else to the room.

Disney will not allow a gift card to be applied to the room. But I will say, one year I paid off a resort room only balance with gift cards and I ended up downgrading our reservation, thus what was the difference in price was applied as a room credit.

I was able to do this in March, so that is where I am speaking from. This was at the Wilderness Lodge desk, while staying at BRV. There was $10 charged to the room, and I was allowed to put $150 of gift card against the room at that time. They did warn that it's non-refundable so you should be sure you will charge to the extent you just put credit there. But we had a lunch, a dinner and a breakfast to come, so $150 was going to be gone in a snap.

So, while I realize that people have traditionally been told no, I did it. So it is possible. Might be variable by CM.
