Hi everyone! This is my first post here, but I used lots of information from the DIS when planning my last trip (Nov 2004). This site has the best Disney information!

I'm ready to go back & am having a tough time deciding on dates. I have 2 sons that will be turning 4 in Dec. I'm looking for the lowest crowds with decent weather. We won't be going to water parks, so cooler temps is not really a problem. Here are the dates I'm looking at:

Nov 11 - Nov 19 - week before Thanksgiving
Nov 25 - Dec 3 - week after Thanksgiving (boys b-day is Dec 1)
Dec 10 - Dec 17 - maybe too stressful so close to Christmas?
Jan 21 - Jan 28 (2006)

I want to avoid pop warner, Jersey week, holiday crowds, etc.

Any opinions on which week would be the least crowded?

Also - I'm planning on doing the pirate cruise for the boys & would also like to hear about any fun restaurants we could go to that they might enjoy.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Tina

I'm trying to decide on our next trip too, and we also want to do the Pirate cruise. Thing is, the minimum age is 4, so we might not go till our youngest is 4 (she's 2 now). If your boys don't turn 4 until December then you'll have to go after their birthday if you want them to do the cruise.

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS wishing2bbelle!!! :earsboy:

I'm glad we were so much help to you in your last trip! :D

I'd go with your first or last dates on there if you're wanting to avoid crowds IF there is actually a time to do that anymore!!! :earseek: I'm thinking Nov. will probably have the better weather.Iv'e been there mid Nov. and it was beautiful!

bajanswife is right about the age of the Pirate Cruise.

My boys Erich and Jonathan, who are both 11 now, have always loved RainForest Cafe. The themeing is so wonderful there! Or you might try Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. It's a great price, the food is good and there's peacocks walking around and a petting zoo there. If you time it right you can walk out to the beach and see Wishes at the MK from there.

My vote is for Jan 21 - 28, 2006. We're heading down this year on the 23rd and the crowds are minimal. Weather is changeable, can get in to the 30's at night
and stay in the 50's during the day.....also can be in the 70's during the day with 40's/50's at night. It is tolerable if you plan accordingly....fleece and long pants. We've experienced both weather scenarios. Dec. 10 - 17th would be my 2nd choice. You will definitely enjoy the Christmas decorations and the
Candlelight Processional over at Epcot. Is the stressful concern related to what
you have to do when you get home? We go the week before in December and it all still works out. Good Luck!

I really appreciate the help!! I'm still not sure which week I'm going to pick, but now I'm leaning towards 12/10-12/17. I guess maybe I should get my husband's opinion!! :earseek:

If you go with any of the december dates you get to see the christmas sites and maybe do some special christmas events.

WDW is beautiful with all the Christmas decorations. I think the week before Thanksgiving would be great!
