Hello,

Sorry for my english but i'm French !

I will go to Orlando for 2 week in May (2th - 16th) for the first time.

The first week i will sleep to Pop Century. I have Dining Plan and Park Hopper + Aquatic Park Option.

The second week i will sleep to International drive (Ramade Inn) to discover the other parks (Universal, IOA, Seaworld, Wet N Wild, Aquatica and Busch Garden).

Can you help me to plan my first week to Walt Disney World Resort, because i don't the differents tips in the parks. I start parks 3rd May (because my plane arrive to orlando at 6.20 pm - 2nd May).
I want to have your little tips to avoid queues in attractions and avoid park with many people.
It's important to go to park with EMH or not ? There are no many people this day ?

I want to book restaurant with my dining plan this week but i don't know which restaurant and which day ? Can you advise to me the excellent restaurant to the resort ?

If you have tips for my second week too, please ?

Very Sorry for my english, i left school for 4 years and forgot a lot...

My family has a bunch of early risers. I would suggest going to rope drop at an AM EMH park while you are staying on site. From 8am to noon you will get a lot done! About noon, take a lunch break and then hop to a less crowded park. (Some families take a swim/nap break from 1-5pm)

Have a touring plan and use fast passes whenever possible.

The Unofficlal Guide to WDW has a lot of good information. I suggest you buy it and read it. It covers WDW and the other parks you want to visit.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!

Your English is wonderful! I'm so excited for you--getting to spend two days at Disneyworld will be awesome!!

First of all, I have to ask if there will be any children with you. That might influence the advice you get.

Here are some tips:

1) Get to parks as soon as they open in the morning. If you're looking for a park on Monday and they have extra magic hours at Magic Kingdom, avoid Magic Kingdom because it will be too crowded.

2) Starting on May 3rd, the parks I would recommend are:
Sunday - Disney Studios
Monday - Magic Kingdom
Tuesday - Animal Kingdom
Wednesday - Epcot
Thursday - Animal Kingdom
Friday - Magic Kingdom

3) You might want to get a list from a website like ridemax. They will tell you which attractions to ride to avoid long lines. The most important thing is to get there early, ride the "best" rides first, and use FastPass.

As far as the restaurants, could everyone please share your favorite restaurant at each of the parks?

My dear French friend, if you could share if you want to eat with characters or not (like Mickey Mouse) that might help in recommendations.

Thank you for your answer.

I come with my friend, we are just 2, no children.

You say to your answer to avoid Magic Kingdom at Monday because it will be too crowded with EMH and in your planning you say "Monday : Magic Kingdom", i don't understand. (EDIT : Sorry i have do a mistake, monday is not a EMH... Sorry !!!)

I like to discover Aquatic Park and Disneyquest too.

I have seeing ridemax, but the problem is the price in dollars and it's difficult for me to paid in dollars (many freight with my bank).

For the restaurant, characters are not important, i want to discover the best dining plan restaurant of the resort with or without caracters :)

Thank you for all your tips !!!

For dining, in our opinion, some of the best resort dining is:

Artist Point - at the Wilderness Lodge
Narcoossee's - at the Grand Floridian (you can see the fireworks at MK if you get later reservations)
Kona Cafe - at the Polynesian

We love the atmosphere at the California Grill in the Contemporary - but got tired of the snotty wait staff there.

Chefs de France ;) - in Epcot

I think TL22 was saying - Go to the Magic Kingdom on Monday, except if they have extra magic hours that day because then the park will be really crowded. We agree with her line up though - you want to avoid MK on the weekends - way too crowded.

You have the time - so again TL's suggestion of the Unofficial Guide to Disney is a great book. Also, keep surfing these boards - they are full of information!
Have a great trip!

You might want to look at allearsnet.com for the menus for all of the restaurants at WDW. At the top of the page, click on "dining" and you will see the different parks and also the resorts on the left hand side. All of the menus are listed. This might help you to chose what restaurants that you want to eat at. Good luck!

Thank you for your answer,

I will book tomorrow with a friend who speak english :)

I think i will book for Crystal Palace (MK), Chef de France, Le Cellier Steakhouse (EPCOT) and Hollywood and wine (Studios).

For the other restaurant i don't know. I want to know if it's possible to book directly when we are in the resort or it's "dangerous" ?

I bought Unofficial Guide of WDW today but it's an import and i will receive for ten day... And i can't wait 10 day to book my restaurant (because my friend come tomorrow).

Can you help me to organise my visit in the different park (4 theme park + 2 aquatic park + Disneyquest) between 05/03/09 and 05/09/09 before tomorrow ? Because it's important for me to book good restaurant for a good day !

When i receive my book (unofficial Guide of WDW) i will use it to prepare my trip in the park...

Once you receive your Unofficial Guide, use it to get free access to touringplans.com. The Crowd Calendar will give you a good idea of what days to visit what parks. Of course, keep in mind that other Disneymaniacs are using the same information. Last trip that I stayed onsite, it seemed like everybody was going to the same park my family was going to. Weird.

The answers in post #3 gave you very good advice about what parks to go to on what days for your week. I would use that advice and plan my meals around those parks. If I were going during that week, those would be the parks that I would go to on those days also. Hope that helps.:)

Thank you :)

But i have just a little question :

- I want to discover Blizzard Beach et Typhoon Lagoon... When it was better to discover this two parks ?

Thank you :)

But i have just two little question :

- In post #3, texaslady22 said to avoid Magic Kingdom at Monday because it will be too crowded with EMH and in the planning she said "Monday : Magic Kingdom", i don't understand.

That was an example. *IF* the Extra Magic Hours are on Monday (they're not posted yet) then avoid Monday. We don't know when the Extra Magic Hours are. I actually looked on a guide to give you the information about which parks on which days.

Here's what I'm recommending now that I know you want to go to both waterparks:

Sunday - Disney Studios
Monday - Magic Kingdom
Tuesday - Blizzard Beach
Wednesday - Epcot
Thursday - Animal Kingdom
Friday - Magic Kingdom in the morning, Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon

Sunday-Hollywood and Vine lunch
Monday-Chef de France
Tuesday-maybe eat dinner at "Beaches and Cream" resort
Wednesday-LeCellier
Thursday- lunch or dinner at Boma or Tusker House
Friday-breakfast at Crystal Palace

OF course, it's YOUR trip, so you do what YOU want :-)

Have fun!

Thank you very much. I have correct my answer #4 because it a mistake of me, i have not read correctly the calendar and monday is not an EMH !!! Sorry !!!

Your planning is excellent ! I will book my restaurant today !

Thank you again !!!

Bonjour! J'ai le "crowd calendar" por le 3 Mai á le 9 Mai.

Sun, 03 May '09 8 DS / MK EP AK
Mon, 04 May '09 5 MK / AK
Tue, 05 May '09 5 DS AK / EP
Wed, 06 May '09 5 EP / AK
Thu, 07 May '09 8 AK / MK EP
Fri, 08 May '09 4 MK DS / EP
Sat, 09 May '09 8 EP / DS

OK, I don't speak any french, but I really appreciate you speaking up to help this person. Thanks!

I totally agree with LeCellier (dinner) and Crystal Palace (breakfast)!!! Two of my favorites. By the way, your English is quite good considering you haven't been speaking English in 4 years! I also recommend the Unofficial Guide. I buy one just about every time I go, even though it doesn't change much from year to year. The first few times I went to WDW, I used the Guide nonstop! Have a wonderful trip!!
