Hi Everyone ,

I have a couple of questions and would like to ask for your help in answering them. I appreciate your input !!!!

#1- If getting 200 points and ask to have it in two contract ( 150 and 50 ) this gives me ability if needed to sell one and keep the other but..... what additional work if any does this create after the purchase . If I call MS and book a trip for 175 points do I have to do anything like transfer points from one contract to another ?

#2- If I finance with Disney can I make the monthly loan payments but pay the annual dues once a year ( when I get the bill ) or do I have to pay monthly if I finance ?

#3- Is it common to make a ressie using points and cash or even 3 way ressie points / cash / points or would these type of ressies cause problems ?

#4- I have a dozen more questions , but next time I come to these boards I'll have to post first cause after reading so many peoples post I get all jumbled up.

Thanks for your time and help :teeth:

I can answer your third question. Last year around Easter time we had to change from a 1 BR to a 2 BR in the middle of the visit. More relatives were coming 2 days after we arrived. When we changed to a 2BR we didn't have enough points to cover the whole stay. One night had to be paid for in cash. So we had 2 day in a 1BR then moved to a 2 BR for 5 more days but one day was cash. I told MS when we made the reservations and said no problem and that all reservations will be linked and that all we had to do was come to the front desk to get the new room assignment after the first 2 days and we were even luckier to find out that the 2BR was ready at 9AM that day.

So, yes you can do all that together.

Any other ????s, feel free to ask.

Jon

Hi I can help you with #1 & 2

#1- If getting 200 points and ask to have it in two contract ( 150 and 50 ) this gives me ability if needed to sell one and keep the other but..... what additional work if any does this create after the purchase . If I call MS and book a trip for 175 points do I have to do anything like transfer points from one contract to another ?
If they are the same UY and location, then they can be linked together and MS treats them as one contract, i,e, contract # XXXXX-1 and XXXXX-2. If they are from two UY you will have to tell MS which contract you want to use

#2- If I finance with Disney can I make the monthly loan payments but pay the annual dues once a year ( when I get the bill ) or do I have to pay monthly if I finance ?
Yes, you can pay dues as a lump sum once a year and have monthly loan payments.

1)- as long as all of the points are for the same home resort, you will have no problems making reservations with a master contract of 150 points and an add-on of 50 points. If they are different resorts, you can easily combine all 200 points for reservations at 7 months - otherwise you can only use the points at the home resort at 11 months.

2)- The annual fees may be paid in a lump sum (and may be placed on a credit card if desired), but there are no finance charges or fees if they are paid by monthly autodebit - so there is no disadvantage paying monthly.

3)- Reservations at DVC resoryts may be made using any combination of points and cash. The entire reservation will be linked together as one and no move will be necessary during the stay if the room type is the same. If part of the reservation is booked thru MS and the rest on cash thru CRO, it's possible that a move would be needed.

4)- Feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like.

Enjoy!

once you are a member, there is a place on the web site where you can pay the whole amount for your dues also. It makes the payment very easy to do.
