Can you have a lunch reception at the World Showcase?

The Wish book is confusing me because it makes it look like you can. Some specify that an event can't take place until 7pm or 10pm, but others don't have those specifications. Right now, I like the idea of French Island, though I have a feeling the answer will be no..

You can have a lunch reception. But there are requirements and limitations. Alot of limitations. No music until 1 hour after park closes - so you would no be allowed music. However, I am not sure, but you may be allowed 1 musician as long as Epcot approves. They do not want your party to interupt the park guests experience. Depending on the weather, it may be very hot, or humid and unenjoyable for your guests. It is buffet only, and limited food as it may spoil and bugs may be attracted. But you WP can give you a menu. As you probably have read, certain times of the year, WDW gets 'infested' with love bugs. You will not be immune. And you will be watched by guests. I'm thinking of doing it myself, but I am unsure

Thanks for the info. It was hard to understand, since it also seemed to list GMR as a lunch possibility, and I know that's only available after the park closes.

Last year I planned a custom wedding with dinner at French Island. Yes, you can do it at lunch, and all the details Sarah gave you seem to be right on. I will say we did a tasting in EPCOT and the food was all amazing, as is the location, so if you love it, go for it!
