If you are in California Adventure and you want to go onto the Grand Californian Property through their special entrance to get to Whitewater Snacks are you allowed to? This is if you are not a guest at the Grand Californian. If yes, when you want to leave can you go back into the park using the GC special entrance?

I've done it. Worst case scenario is they ask to see your room key. It's not like you're gonna get banned or anything for trying.

I've stayed there dozens of times, they rarely ask. Walk through with some other crowd.

DLH and PP room key will work. I have also never been asked for the charge slip, only once for the monorail- did I have to show my slip.

I have done it many, many times, they never have asked. If they do just tell them that you are going to eat there. You shouldn't have any problem.

I agree. If you are going to use a restaurant at the GCH, they will not have a problem letting you through. I have never seen a CM question you going through the turnstiles into the GCH. Of course, it's a different story coming into DCA from the GCH. If it is early enough in the morning, they will ask to see a room key or a receipt from one of their restaurants.

Would a room key from the DLH or PP work?
Yes. Guests of all the resort hotels are allowed to use the GCH entrance into DCA.

I agree with this. I don't believe any CMs check people going into the hotel from DCA, but we have been checked when we've used the GCH entrance into DCA.

They actually just don't want you going in that entrance for the first time, so if it is for re-entry you will not have a problem. They have asked us for a key many times and we just tell them we ate there and it is re-entry.

At one time they were clamping down on this and it was for just the grand guests- not even PP or DL guests were allowed to provide "the exclusiveness." This was during the 50th though.

I have noticed though that my belongings are searched more at GC entrance than at the other.

We were there during the 50th, staying both on and offsite (two trips, one year) and never had a problem. They check to be sure you are a guest in the am for first entry and don't seem to care much after that. They do care about checking your belongings and not bringing in sodas in cans or bottles though. They made us put the soda we had bought in DTD into a cup. No biggy, but kinda silly IMO.
