Can you give something to the characters?

I saw Donald make a fuss over a little guy with a huge Donald toy. The little guy insisted Donald take it. Donald did take it but then slipped it to the parents. I'm sure that toy was $$$.

In 1993, my 5 year old DD drew a picture of Mickey Mouse. She carried it all the way to WDW to "give to Mick Mouse." We saw Mickey in Toontown (or whatever it was called back then). He graciously mimed "For me?" When DD said, "Yes, it's for you," he took the picture and pinned it to the bulletin board behind him.

She was thrilled and kept telling everyone about Mickey keeping her picture on his bulliten board.

I have the whole scene on video (no DVDs back then!) and it is priceless!

We had a very magical moment on our last trip. A CM was talking to us while we were on line to meet the Princesses in Toon Town during a Pirate and Princess Party. She learned that we were going to the Akershus Princess Breakfast the following morning. Just then she pulled three jewels from the "cave of wonders" out of her pocket and asked my daughter to give them to Jasmine for her when she saw her at breakfast. She did just that and Jasmine graciously took two-leaving one for my daughter and one to give to Aladdin. ;)

It was so sweet!!

In Dec. my DGD took very small gifts to 1900 Park Fare for both of the step-sisters. They both were VERY excited and made over the gifts. I thought that most of it was just an act, but later on one of them came back to the table to retrieve the ribbon that had been on her gift and thanked DGD again.

My daughter drew Minnie a picture and she gave it to her at Chef Mickey's. :)
