My DH wants to dine here on our upcoming WDW trip. Can someone please give me a review????

Thank you!!

I didn't care for AP on our last visit, but I think my expectations were too high. I had read so many great things about the restaurant and wanted to try it myself. I didn't care for my entree. Being an adventurous person, I decided to try the buffalo steak and found it to be too tough and fatty. Another person in our party also had a problem with their meal, but sent it back. Anyway, all 3 DD's enjoyed it and that what counts!

Definately go to Artist Point. Artist Point is and has been one of our favorite restaurants at disney since it has opened. A favorite of the locals as well.

The food and service are wonderful. Great wine list.

If you like to have a drink before dinner, go a little early and enjoy the bar just to the left of artist point.

We highly recommned Artist Point...one of the few disney restaurants we try to go to on every trip!

I did a review of AP about a week or so ago. If you can access my posts history, you should be able to find it.

AP Is yummy! My only regret is that they have stopped serving the smoked salmon spread with bread pre-dinner, as they used to. If you go- Do get the Smoked Mushroom (Potobello) soup - it's the best soup I have ever had - and that includes Vic and Als - Also, The Alaskan Salmon is the sweestest, most tender Salmon I have ever had - It's not even remotely related to the Atlantic Farm-raised fish!!! My Hubbie and dining companions have had the Mixed grill (Buffalo, venison, other meats) with varying results- one year it was "too die for", the next year it was a little too stringy. Not cheap- but very very good!!! Jill

The rustic, U.S. National Park theme of the Wilderness Lodge continues into this attractive dining establishment. The intoxicating aroma of cedar wafts among the impressive expanse of fat ponderosa pine columns, lofty ceilings, Old West murals, and forest green slate floors. Oversized windows peer out on sparkling views of Bay Lake and the hotel’s enchanting courtyard of giant boulders and cascading waterfalls; on pleasant days tables spill out to a picturesque terrace. The lovely decor takes a backseat to the Pacific Northwest cuisine of fresh seafood flown in daily, and the menu’s game meats and fish are smoked on the premises. Choose the house specialty of cedar plank Alaskan King salmon paired with a bottle of Pacific Northwest wine finished with an fresh berry cobbler topped with sour cream drizzle and vanilla bean ice cream.

Tip: If arriving before dark, ask for a view of Bay Lake. After dark request the knockout view of the illuminated courtyard waterfall. Take a post-dinner walk through the property to the edge of Bay Lake and wait for the geyser to erupt (every half-hour); it’s quite a show.

Sample Menu Items
Dinner Entrees: Mixed Grill of Elk Tenderloin, Venison, and Rabbit Sausage with a root vegetable mash and port wine jus; Air-Chilled Roasted Free Range Chicken Breast with smoked bacon & two-potato hash; Grilled Buffalo Top Sirloin with sweet potato hazelnut gratin & sweet onion jam; Pan-Seared Pork Tenderloin on Tillamook cheddar mac and cheese with Maytag crust

We ate here on our wedding night and just loved it! We were on the Silver Plan, and went all out. We both loved the mussels (the best of our trip), the salmon was excellent, DH ate Bambi, Thumper, and lamb and liked it (I tried a piece, but couldn't get Bambi out of my head), and the berry cobbler was one of our favorite desserts of the trip.

It was very quiet when we were there (after 9 pm), and we liked the ambience. We 're looking forward to going back:-)
