Can you get WC shakes "to go"?

Hi--we'll be there at Christmas time, and we've never made it over to WL. I'd love to go there for a break after MK one day. We aren't planning on having a full meal there, but can you get their shakes either to go or at a CS place at that resort? If not, do you think we could go over at an odd time (thinking between lunch and dinner, maybe around 3 or so) and just sit and order the milkshakes?

Also, is WC in a central location in the lobby area, or is the CS more conveniently located? We always go to GF or Poly for our mid afternoon break, but I think it would be fun to see the WL lobby and decorations. Thanks!

1) WCC does not have items "to-go", including shakes.
2) However, if you are seated, you can order them for consumption at the table.
3) The only to-go items are at Roaring Fork QS eatery.

Do you think that's bad to go in and just order milkshakes? I'd never go into a restaurant at home and just wondering if it's sort of bad form to do it there. What do you think? Thanks!

Sure why not!!! Make it your own dessert party!! They have other desserts to try also!! If you can't do that at WDW, where can you?! I bet Mickey would order just a milkshake for an afternoon snack!!!!!

Not sure but I do think that WCC is closed between lunch and dinner services. You may want to check that before you go.

It is up to you if you would want to go and just have a shake. I have and would go to just eat dessert, but I would have a drink as well. Not sure if I would just go and have a shake.
But if you feel you could...go right ahead I don't think anyone would say anything.
And if you couldn't do it, think about splitting an appetizer with the shakes. That may make you feel better about doing it.

. . . people go into eateries for "coffee and dessert" all the time
. . . they also do it for milkshakes

Not sure but I do think that WCC is closed between lunch and dinner services.

. . . breakfast: 7:30am-11:00am
. . . lunch: Noon-3:00pm
. . . dinner: 5:00pm-10:00pm
. . . closed between service hours, as these are CM break periods

at the risk of getting "flamed" here. I think it's fine to go in and order just desserts,but I would tip the server more than just 18% of the bill, cause you are taking up a table for him/her.
just like if a girlfriend and I go to a family restaurant just to have coffee and chit chat we tip as if we were ordering food. (if the coffee is $2 each, 20% would be 80 cents! so we'll leave her a few bucks.) JMO
(unless it's a place like Beaches and Cream, where you are expected to order ice cream)

4) Servers take the bad with the good.
5) One would not reduce to 10% for a table of twenty people.
. . . just as many seats as several tables
. . . and, the server can carry multiples of a single item
. . . but, to the same area
. . . sure there is more carrying, but the same if the tables were split
6) So, it all evens out in the end.

usually a server has X amount of tables intheir "station" so a table of twenty people takes up a bunch of her tables. and since you have to push the tables together, you "lose" the sides of many tables. so, most likely, that table of 20 is probably the only table she has at that time. not a good analogy..

anyway, I was just "Suggesting" that people take that into consideration if they want to order just dessert., and stay a while, and enjoy the "antics" .. just tip a bit more.
