Can you get DDP without a room/tix package?

Haven't been to WDW since pre-DDP so this is new to me!!
We plan to rent DVC points for our room & DH gets discounted park tix thru work (he works for GM) so we will not be getting a room/tix package. I love the sound of the DDP but am not sure if you can just buy DDP alone. Anyone know the answer?

If you are staying on DVC points then you can add the DDP to your reservation. No tickets needed if you do it this way.

BUT!!! The member from whom you rent will have to make the arrangements for you to get the DDP. You pay for it when you check in (i.e. no additional financial transactions between you and the DVC owner), but since last month, only the DVC member can contact Member Services.
