Can you get Caramel Apples with a snack credit on DDP?

We tried last October to get a caramel apple with a snack credit, but no luck. I am interested in seeing if anyone has had any luck lately.

The snack thread lists "candy apples" at a couple of places at DHS, but these are probably the ones with sugar candy coating and not caramel. There's no reference to caramel apples on the snack thread at all. Doesn't mean they're not available, just that nobody on the DIS has reported being able to get one.

I couldn't last year. They were like $8, so that generally would not be considered a snack.

Not anywhere that I'm aware of. Several places have candy apples that are eligible, but the caramel apples cost $6+ (depending on location and toppings) and aren't available on snack credits.

the caramel apples at the new Werther's Caramel store in Germany/Epcot are the real thing (caramel) but not available for a snack credit because they are $5.95 or so.

Yes but that most likely isn't going to happen.

I suspect that's a can of worms Disney really doesn't want to open because you'd start seeing people wanting to apply that same logic to other things that aren't snacks right now, like the super-popular make your own treats at Goofys, turkey legs, etc.

Of course! Disney is the place to eat what ever your heart desires. Those mickey ones sure look cute.

I was able to get a plain caramel or candy apple with no toppings with my snack credits. They are the cheaper ones that are a out $4. Not the $8 ones!! And I got them at Goofys Candy co. as well as the Cauldron candy store at Hollywood Studios.

I also was able to get one from the Cauldron candy store at DHS (just caramel, no toppings). But I will say, I love caramel, and this one wasn't really good ~ different than what I'm used to. Someone mentioned a sugar candy coating, maybe that is what it was (even though it did say caramel)
