I feel silly even asking this, because I know the answer, but is there any way you could fall off Flight of Passage and plummet down the 3 to 5 stories in front of the ride vehicles? I realize there are safety measures in place, but say you were not holding on and the restraint was not tight enough or failed, during the big downward swoops does the ride vehicle tip forward far enough to dump you off the front? And if it did, is it close enough to the edge that you would fall all the way down? Again, I know this is silly and the ride is made both to be safe and to make it feel like you are actually falling when you are not, but it would help if I knew the worst case scenario. When we rode it, my son kept letting go and raising his hands up in the air, which totally freaked me out. I still enjoyed it and will still ride it again, I just need some reassurance that he will not fall out if he lets go again. :-)

It would be a heck of an effort to even attempt to fall off. Wiggle out of the restraints, get off the bike, dart to the screen before a cast member sees you and stops the ride, then fling yourself off. Far too much.

You're perfectly safe on it. And this is coming from someone that's too chicken to ride even the kiddy coasters. 😆

The idea of the restraints so you don't have to hang on tightly. It would be really hard to fall off FOP.

Thanks all! Like I said, I already knew the answer, I just needed the reassurance.

Im mean you could if you REALLY tried. But if the restrains are in place properly, and they do and excellent job of checking, you aren't going anywhere.

Yes, it happens all the time. If the ride is down, it's because someone fell off and the coroner hasn't gotten them out of the building yet. ;)

No, you're not going to fall.

I'm more likely to pass away riding IASW than FoP, and not from falling either.

The CMs come by after everyone is in and checks that the restraints are snugged up against you. It's not even easy to try to sit so that the restraints won't be holding you in - they check for that in the same way that they check on other rides (e.g., ToT) to make sure people aren't trying to circumvent the safety procedures. I've taken my hands off a number of times to adjust my 3D glasses and my regular glasses. Hands off, ride is moving, I don't even budge a bit.
