can you explain photopass? newbie

It's pretty simple. Disney parks take pictures of you at various locations throughout the parks. You used to have to buy the pictures the day they were taken, before you left the park for the day.

Now, they give you a Photopass card and scan it before each picture they take of you. Then, from the convenience of your home, you can purchase those pictures (within 60 days I believe). You do not have to buy them before you leave the park now, unless you want to. This new way of buying them is called Photopass. The photographers that participate are called Photopass Photographers and you'll see them with a scanner on their hip. Not all photos taken at the parks (and restaurants) are part of Photopass, for example, the ride photos are not currently part of it but I've heard they soon will be.

That's it in a nutshell.

Since December they started offering a CD you could buy of ALL your Photopass pictures taken for $99. Then you have the rights to them and can get them printed anywhere you want, any size you want. IMHO, the CD is only worth it if you have ALOT of Photopass pictures taken. I normally only buy one or two Photopass photos and take all the Photopass pictures with our digital camera as well, so it wouldn't be worth it to me...but if you are with a large group and have 100 photos taken, its a great deal.

I hope this helps!
