My DH is doing the Driving Experience and I am thinking of having him drop us off at Epcot since me, my M and our kids are not going with him. We have a 11:15 ADR at Chef Mickey but I think I would rather get in Soarin, Living with the Land, Figment and The Imagination Pavallion instead of just looking at hotels especially since DH does not want to do Soarin.

So can DH drop us off in the car (we are off site) and if not where is the best place for him to drop us off. And should I have him pick us up or should we take the monorail to the Contemporary? How long would you allow to get from Epcot to Contempory?

Yes.

Unless you plan to return to the park you can't drop someone off without paying the parking fee, if you pay then you can be dropped off, otherwise you would have to go to DTD, get on a resort bus then take another bus from the resort to the park. I am not sure, but thinking further, maybe they can drop you off at TTC and then get the monorail, but I think to enter anywhere in Disney a parking fee will be collected if your not an on property guest.

Ask the toll booth attendant where to go to drop people off. If you already know than briefly let the attendant know that you are dropping someone off, then thank him and drive on.

For Magic Kingdom, use one of the booths near the right. Bear right at the big fork after the toll booth, then take the first allowable left at a traffic light. The dropoff area is somewhere along that road.

As for travel you would want to give yourself 45 -60 mins to get from Epcot to Chef Mickey's using the monorail. Last April it took me 30 mins (from the time boarding at MK to the time exiting at Epcot) Add waiting for it to arrive and walking.
