Can you do a TOTALLY no frills wedding at WDW?

My son and his fiancee have 2 kids together, and have put off getting married due to financial difficulties. They are now at the point where they don't even care about having their "dream" wedding now, they just want to do it!!

We will be at WDW in September. Is there such a thing as an extremely low budget, bare bones ceremony to be had there?

thanks! :wizard:

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong...but I believe the absolute cheapest onsite wedding would run about $3500. That would be for an intimate and 4 nights stay.

:wave2:

I also want to add that I'm in the same situation. DH2B and I were just like "let's do this already". That's why I chose Disney! They handle just about everything for you and I knew our kids would have a blast.

Now that I'm actually getting into it and "customizing" my simple, intimate ceremony I'm glad I chose Disney. As much as going to the JP to make it legal would have been okay...you only get married once (hopefully!) and it will definitely be a day to remember!

If they can swing the $$ (it's still steep, I know!) I highly recommend it!

Check out disneyweddings.com intimate weddings (18 or fewer guests). It includes the ceremony site, brides/grooms personal flowers, cake, champagne toast, violinist or organist (depends on site), photography, and 4 hours of limo. The priceas start at $2500. all you need to add is the officiant and a 4 night stay at any disney resort. It's a really good deal. Plus you can check out the wishbook for ideas. HTH.

The great thing about the intimate add on is you can choose a basic location which is the 2500 or the wedding pavilion which is 3250, and then you can pick your 4 night stay anywhere - - like a value resort, so that saves money and you still get a magical wedding!!!

We followed the basic package pretty much exactly and we had a beautiful wedding! The only extras were another bottle of sparkling wine and then flowers for everyone (boutonierre or corsage) which were less expensive through Disney than anyother place I found.
