Can you divide a reservation into 2 reservations?

I have a June 8-15 at VGC (1-bedroom) that I want to rent out. I've had people ask about renting part of the days. Can member services divide the reservation while still keeping all of my days reserved? Or will I lose the other reservation days in the process?

Figured I'd ask here before I spent a long time on hold.

No. It has to be booked that way from the start.

You can shorten the reservation but then you'd have to rebook the days you removed.

Too bad, I would grab half of that reservation up if I could!
I think DLR is a more of a 3-5 day trip for most west coasters, so 7 day reservations would be harder to rent. I'm in NorCal and we did 5 park days for our first trip in the off season with littles, but progressively shorter trips since.
Seems like booking 2 shorter stays at the 11 month window is a better bet for VGC owners who might want to rent out?

Yes, good point. We were going to visit family and do other things while we were down there. I ended up cancelling both reservations completely and booking Aulani for October!

Well Aulani is an amazing alternative (I'm debating an Oct/Nov trip there too).
Someone got really lucky with VGC wait list!

I agree! Congrats to whoever scooped up the VGC rooms! I noticed they were gone shortly. We went to Aulani 5 years ago and it was incredible! We still have Nov VGC reservation ( 2 bedroom) that I might rent, we'll see.
