Can you convert e-ticket to paper ticket?

My friend purchased an e-ticket for her daughter's friend who is not going to be able to go to Disneyland with them. Disney said the ticket is non-refundable and only good for a year. They won't make it back in a year. Is there a way to convert the unused e-ticket to a paper ticket that will be good forever (until it is used for the first time)?

Sorry, I don't think so, in fact I think even paper tickets have an expiry date of a year after purchase on them.

Well that's a bummer. I know at WDW they are good until you use them for the first time.
