Can you charge to your room like in WDW?

Our first trip to DLR is coming up in about 3 weeks! :cool1: I'm trying to think through some of our details.

Does the room key/park tickets/charging work the same as in WDW? We're staying at the Disneyland Hotel, so can we place a credit card on our account at the hotel, and the just use our room keys to charge back to the room as in WDW? And if so, are they valid everywhere in both parks and Downtown Disney?

Also, I think I read someplace that the DLR tickets are separate from the Key to the World cards like they have in WDW? Not sure if this is correct?

I have a gift card and a reward card from my Disney Chase Visa and I'm wondering if it is best to just apply these to our hotel bill and then charge everything back to that if it works the same as WDW.

Yes, you can absolutely charge to your room. I'd imagine this is valid at all the Disney-owned locations in Downtown Disney, but I don't know about other places, like Sephora or whatever. It's valid everywhere in the park.

Also, it is correct that your ticket will be separate from your Key to the Magic card. Disneyland doesn't put park tickets on the room keys.

Have a great trip!! Enjoy the Disneyland Hotel, I'm super jealous.

I can verify that it is only Disney-owned locations that accept room charges in DTD. In the parks you are golden everywhere except the cash only carts, for obvious reasons.

Thanks! I guess I better plan to carry a bit of cash as well as a credit card. :thumbsup2
