To save a little money? Or will the Disney police stop you? :ssst:

:cheer2: We took a backpack with some snacks and water in it nd noone said anything. We just took little things nothing deluxe, and they checked our bags at the parks and let us through! We woulddefinately suggest taking water bottles because you can refil all day at the fountains!! Have Fun!!

We have always taken snacks in our backpacks. The securty team will search everyone's bags, but no one has ever commented on any food items in the bag. We take things like cheese crackers, fruit snacks, apples, wheat thins, ---maybe a can of vienna sausages once.

As long as you don't overdo it, there is no problem bringing snacks into the parks----in a backpack; or whatever. A few waterbottles or juice packs are also o.k. A rolling cooler is probably pushing it! Have fun :cool1:

Yes, yes, yes, we brought fresh fruit, pop tarts, water. No problem.

Yes you can and no it is not against their rules. I got a package from WDW and AKL when I booked concierge and there was a information and what to bring pamplet that stated that yes you could bring in snacks and drinks as long as they are nonacholic it just said to be advised that bags would be searched so pack accordingly.

I believe the only park that specifically prohibits coolers is AK.

we brought in our back pack, juice boxes, snack size bag assortments. ie/ cookies, crackers, fruit roll ups, etc. and we all had a bottle of water and an apple.
they know that even if you have a few brought in snacks, you will still be buying some foods from them at some point in the day.

Something I saw some people do once was they drove to the park and during the day left to go back to their car and had a picnic in the grassy shaded area in between sections in the parking lot. Seems like a good idea, all you have to do is take the tram back to your car, and you can bring whatever you want for the picnic.

Glad to hear you can! I just asked this question in another thread!! I can't imagine not being able to have some sort of snacks for the kids! :cheer2:

I've read over and over again that it's OK to bring coolers in under two circumstances: coolers MUST be soft-sided; and they must be small enough to fit into a WDW locker. Don't know the reason for either, and don't know from experience, but I've read this numerous different times on another message board.

Do people really bring coolers with them ? What do you do with them when you go on the rides ? This year we will have our DD who will be 8mo and I will need to bring a Diaper Bag for her which I am dreading lugging around. But I think in the diaper bag I will put some water bottles for all of us and make a few snacks.

In our group there will be several children one of which is 16 mos. Our gang will also be bringing 3 small coolers. One of which will have baby bottles and bottled water. We will have 3 strollers 2 rented and 1 brought from home for the littlest one. As the one from home reclines and the rented ones do not. Our group is planning on storing the small soft sided coolers either underneath or hanging on the handle of the stroller along with the diaper bag (which is actually a backpack). We will leave the coolers in the strollers while riding. I really don't believe anyone will bother them. It's like nothing of value just a cheap little cooler with drinks and snacks. I would assume since you are traveling with an infant you will have a stroller?

This will be our first trip without a stroller. We have always left it outside the rides - chock full of snacks, drinks, purchases and a few times my camera. It was never touched - other than by a CM moving it! I wouldn't worry about leaving the diaper bags - really, who wants to chance picking up someone's "stinky" :earboy2:

You'll need a stroller for your baby, so bring one with a large storage basket. Store your diaper bag, bottled water, etc. in the stroller's basket. Be careful of hanging anything heavy off the stroller as it could tip over. No one will bother inexpensive stuff stored in a stroller -- but don't leave anything of value unattended. We never leave cell phones, cameras, wallets, park tix, etc. in our diaper bag or stroller -- we carry these in a fanny pack.

We have always brought a small snack in for DD in case she gets a case of starvation in line. We usually just bring a nutrigrain bar or goldfish crackers. Other then that we buy all of our snacks in the parks. Sometimes we buy some goodies at the hotel gift shop like chocolate covered pretzels and take into the parks with us but that is it.
