Ok-help needed. We are arriving on 4/23. There are 9 of us in our group, so we were considering renting a townhouse where we would have breakfast "at home", pack a lunch to bring into the parks and then have dinner out. But, in talking to some travel agents (just to check out prices that incude hotel/dining/tickets), we are being told you cannot bring in ANYTHING to the parks, not even a water bottle????? It has been 5 years since I have been there, have things changed and I didn't get the memo???

We were there last April & always brought water in with us, along with snacks such as granola bars or fruit. Never once, at any park, were we given a hard time about it though at every park, our bags were searched through before we were given the OK.

You can bring food into the parks. They do search your bag, and you can't bring in glass containers and alcohol, but nothing else I've brought in has merited a comment (water/soda bottles, snack bars, apples, bananas, even sandwiches).

Am I missing anything else that's forbidden?

We went in July-we took in water bottles, ziplock bags full of snack, packs of crackers and we never had a problem:goodvibes

I agree with the others, we brought water bottles and snacks into the parks without issue. However, I did have the water in the bottom of DS1 stroller and the snacks were in the bottom of my backpack they searched. So, it may have been that they just didn't see them? I just wouldn't make a "big" deal to the security guards about the food and drinks and just bring them in. Most of the guards we saw were older folks (retired) who were saying hi to the kids more than security duty. :thumbsup2

Well, I last went November 2005, and had no problem. Officially, you can bring in water, or food for "special dietary needs." Unofficially, they don't care, as long as you don't have a hard-sided cooler or glass bottles.
