We always do. We have water bottles that attach to our hip packs. We refill them in the parks during the day as needed. We've never had any problem with the water at WDW.

That will really save us some money!!!!!

I went and bought one of those Brita Filtered water bottles, had read about it on another post and they were wonderful!! Lost one of them the first day, but the other was great. I am very wierd about the smell of water and the filter worked wonders, no smell or taste!! The bottle was about $8 at Walmart and I could fill up anywhere.

I also use the Brita water filter bottles. We have taken them on 4 trips now, getting new filters about every year. They work like a charm. You can also usually get a cup of ice in the parks to add to the water from the fountain.

FYI -

We bring water, juice boxes, snacks and toys (i.e. things for on-line and light up things for night time)

It saves us a fortune. I throw everything in the backpack along with ponchos for rain and rapids. It really isn't bad to carry it.

The supermarket is always our first stop coming from the airport.

Enjoy

As others have said yes,

& if you have access to a freezer freeze the bottom third of water the night before. Obviously it keeps it much cooler.

Also- you can fill up your bottles with ice from the machines!! It will stay cold most of the day!

Another vote for Brita Water Bottles. We fill them in the room with ice and when they're empty we just fill them at the water fountains. I know people say you can get free ice and water at any stand, but we don't like to wait on line for water. We also carried snacks in our backpacks, no problem!! Have fun and drink lots of water!

can something like a little tin of mints(Altiods) or a pack of gum be carried in a backpack into the parks?

I can't see why not? We actually take those frozen Smuckers PBJ sandwiches in with us and they've never said anything. We even bring our own bags of popcorn and pop it over at the baby station to fill up our buckets b/c at $3-4 a bucket we'd go broke. Our kids love popcorn!!

I always take a bottle of water to the parks with me and I've never been told I couldn't take it in. That makes me really happy because paying nearly 3.00 for some water does not! LOL

CS- You can most definitely take gum, mints, candy, etc. into the parks in your backpack. :)

I mentioned this in another post ... Last year while we were waiting for Fantasmic to start, a women took out a loaf of bread and some lunch meat and made sandwiches for the family while they waited.

I think Disney is sensative to the fact their prices are outrageous and families need to save money where they can!

I DEFINITLY need to get that Brita thing...even my water here at work is a little...uh...questionable. :) Hi ho-Hi ho...it's off to wal-mart I go!!

Also - you can buy an ice cube tray that makes ice cubes just big enough to fit in the mouth of your standard water bottle (like poland springs/aquafina/dasani/etc...) they are cylinder shaped...they work really well...as long as you have access to a freezer of course!

Thanks to everyone who responded. I think the brita water fiters will work great for our family!!! Thanks again!!!

I had a pair of candy bars, some gum and Altiods in my bag last trip and nobody seemed to mind
