The title says is all. Is that OK? It will be better then buying drinks all the time.We will be there in September, so keeping him hydrated is a priority.

Yes! We brought juice boxes, water bottles, snacks and even some PB sandwiches for my kids. It saved a lot of money and time standing in line. Plus we were always sure to have something they like.

Have a great trip!

We froze water bottles and juice and took them into the parks. You can take a little cooler, but we didn't want the hassle of dealing with it.

I was told that that was fine too.

What I think we are going to do is take a water bottle and some powdered drink mix in the little packets. We drink ALOT and I think it would get too heavy carrying around all that juice.

I had a small collasipble cooler that I huung on the back of my stroller. I put in water, and juice bags. My one son will only drink one kind or milk, so I like having my own. We had as many as we could fit, some days this seemed like the perfect amount, and I would refill during our afternoon break, or if we ran out then we would buy at the park. But we rarely had to buy and it saved a lot of money and hassle having to stand in line or go find a place ot buy things.

We've brought juice boxes before -- but we got the pouch ones instead of the box ones.

Keep in mind that spilled juice is sticky though -- now that my kids are older we tend to do water bottles rather than juice.

From my understanding, you may bring any food item or non alcoholic beverage you wish as long as it is in a collapsible cooler. You can't bring a hard cooler on wheels. You can bring a small hand held hard cooler. We brought snacks, sandwiches and drinks both times with no problem. We even packed cereal and Parmalats for breakfast in the morning. No one except me is a breakfast eater. It saves time and money.

NOT ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!

They do not allow straws into Animal Kingdom and I have heard of them taking the juice box straws as well. It is a hazard for the animals. You can bring the juice boxes in and then squeeze them into a sippy cup or similar.

That being said. We went to the local zoo here today(no restrictions on straws being brought in, but they dont have them at the zoo) and I froze the juice boxes, water bottles and grapes we took for about 2 hours and they were sooo good and cool when we got them out in the 90 degree heat.

Yes in AK they do not have straws in any eating establishments. they did not say anything to us when they checked our cooler however or while the kids were drinking them in the park. We did not find out about the rule until we sat down at Pizzafari and DH went to get straws. That is when I commented "huh they never said anything to us about the juice bags" but know that I know I will probably bring them minus the straws and some disposbale cups.:)

Something to keep in mind---you can get free ice water at the counter service restaurants throughout the parks to keep hydrated. We did this on our trip in May. It's easier than carrying around enough water and juice for all of us.

I have not had toddlers in AK before but I read several warnings that they could take the straws off the juice boxes. Just to be safe, I will be doing the same, bring the boxes, but leaving the straws in the resort.

I am usually the observant one in the family and I dont rememeber seeing a sign and like I said security or CMs did not say a word. But now that I am aware if I go back I would not bring them. If this is so important they should let people know before they arrive if possible or ceratinly at the gates.

That's why I love visiting the Disboards. I did not know about the straws probably because we used sippy cups at the time. This is good to know about AK. It holds true for most parks with a lot of animals.

We also bring in frozen juice boxes and waters we keep them in a doggie carriage with our extra stuff such as coats, snacks and anything else we drag along with us. It is a day trip for us. We do this twice a year so it is not old information.
