Can you bring food into Legoland?

From Legoland's FAQ list at the website:

"Is outside food or alcohol allowed inside the park?

Outside coolers, food and beverages may be brought into the park under certain guidelines (listed below). Alcohol may not be brought onto LEGOLAND Florida property.

Acceptable items:
• Bottled water
• Small snacks that do not require heating
• Any food required for medical purposes and medically–indicated nutritional supplements
• Any food required for special dietary needs
• Baby food/baby formula
• Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep
• Coolers/bags with wheels, not to exceed 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep
Prohibited items:
• Picnic lunches (unless with a school/youth group)
• Food that requires heating or refrigeration
• Alcohol and glass containers
• Hard-sided coolers
• Soft-sided coolers larger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep
*Please be advised that all bags and personal items are subject to inspection."

When we went to Legoland last November, we read the official rules, but decided to try to bring our (small) picnic lunch anyway. We figured we would just take it back to the car if they said it wasn't allowed. It was packed in a lunch bag-sized cooler. We had no problem bringing it into Legoland. Unlike Disney, there was no bag check. We had the cooler under the stroller and the person at the turnstile didn't care what was in the stroller or in our bags.

That "food required for medical purposes" line is pretty vague.

I'm going to pack a small, soft cooler. If we end up not being able to bring in then we'll just leave it in the car. It looks hopeful though! We're going Monday - can't wait!
