Can you be off by 8:15 in St Thomas?

We have private trip booked with cruisetrips.com for St Thomas. They are to meet us at the dock at 8:15. I figure they know what they are doing, but how hard is it to be off the boat by 8:15? I thought they kept everyone except the DCL sponsored trips from getting off until later. Will this be a problem?

I would think that once you clear US Customs, you could get off.

We booked a 7:40 am excursion (5-Star St. John's Snorkel Tour). We had to report to the Walt Disney Theatre at 6 am, present our passports and photo ID, get hand stamp. EVERYONE, including children had to do this.

The line moves very quickly. There is coffee and pastries outside the theatre. We were out of there by 6:45.
