Can you awesome people help me pick a lunch spot?

I can't decide do I pick The Plaza or Kona Cafe?

Plaza will be more hamburgers/milk shakes/ice cream sundaes and the like -- and will also of course be in MK. Kona will be more asian inspired food and at the Poly. So your talking 2 different food selections entirely. I vote for Plaza though, good food and being in MK is fun.

If your plan is to be in MK I'd just go with The Plaza and not bother leaving for lunch.

I have never been to Kona so I can't speak to that restaurant.

But we LOVE The Plaza. The menu is just right for us and we really enjoy the ambience.

Another plus, staying within the MK is a time saver if that is important to you.

We will be at MK that day, it will be day one of two. My party is not picky, but we do have one vegetarian. We don't mind leaving, because hotel hopping is something we have been wanting to do. Both menus looks good so that's where the problem is.

My wife and I LOVE lunch at Kona. That said, I'm not sure we'd leave MK to go there for lunch, if we were planning on returning to the MK.

I enjoyed the Plaza's fried green tomato sandwich if that helps. It's such a pain to get in and out of MK I would just stay in MK just save room for the ice cream!

I've never been to The Plaza, but love Kona Cafe! I also prefer getting a break from Magic Kingdom midday.

if you are planning to stay in park all day then go plaza if you are going to take a brake for the afternoon go to kona then take your brake

Kona is delicious!!!! Plaza is ok in my opinion. The shakes are really good. If you like looking at other resorts then I'd say definitely venture over to Kona. Everyone loves a good ride on the monorail!

We have done both. I would suggest The Plaza. While I think the food at Kona is good, it tends to remind me of just a generic coffee shop/diner in terms of atmosphere. If you are staying at the Poly and want to have lunch or dinner while you are just hanging out at the resort it is a good option. We used to do a really early breakfast there before going to MK but now we just get our Tonga Toast at the quick service restaurant at the Poly.

The Plaza on the other hand is nice little break from the park. It's not very big so it doesn't feel chaotic to me the way most other restaurants in the parks feel. Everything we have ordered there has been very good.

To just choose between the 2 I would say Kona. If you are starting out at MK and would plan on going back to MK my choice would be the Plaza. I wouldn't want to waste travel time, bag check time etc.

I've only ever had breakfast at Kona, which was delicious. I really like The Plaza, a nice small/quieter restaurant with some great sandwiches and of course ice cream. Of the two, I would opt for Plaza. I'm just not sure Kona is enough of a lure for me to leave the park.

Kona has better, more interesting food, so if you want to resort hop, I would choose Kona.
