Ws wondering if we arrived about 15-20 minutes early, would they go ahead and seat us or would they make us wait until reservation time? Just curious, has anyone done this?
At times, I have been seated sooner, others I have had to just wait that much longer. It just depends on how busy the restaurant is. But I've never been told, you're too early! I think they even tell you to arrive 10 minutes early.
We showed up early for all four of our table service meals last time. I was so nervous we'd be late that we left the resort WAY a head of time. So we made it to all the restaurants about 30 minutes early. . For each of them I went to the podium as soon as we got there. Two of them seated us almost right away (LTT and Akerhaus). The other two (Crystal Palace and H and V) we had to wait a while....but I think we still got in a little bit before the actual ADR time. This was during free dining last year.
If you show up early and register at the podium, they will seat you at the next available table. However, if it is a crowded restaurant like CP, they usually won't seat you for awhile.
I think ten minutes is fine. I am not sure if they let it go after that. I have been 20 minutes late for an ADR for Mama Melrose and they didn't bat an eye about letting me in. We usually arrive early and am seated early about half the time. The other have we have to wait until our dining time plus some in a couple of cases.
we thought our time was 1/2 earlier than it was, so we showed up 45 minutes early at Whispering Canyon. We went to the podium and got our buzzer. Unfortunately, we were not sat at a table until 15 minutes after our original ADR.
We arrived 60 to 90 minutes early twice during our last two trips. We were tired and wanted to eat and then go back to our room. Each time we approached the podium, explained that we were early but " is there any way you could seat us soon?' At the Rose and Crown we were seated within 10 minutes. At Alfredo's it took about 30 but that was still well ahead of our ADR time.
AGreed! Also the 50s Prime Time always makes us wait until our ADR time before they start the normal waiting. I've waited up to 45 minutes there with ADRs. LeCellier is equally as bad.
