can you apply a AAA discount after already purchased a pkg?

Hello,

I have already purchased my MYW package on the Disney website and paid in full. We are leaving in two weeks. I now know that there is a AAA discount. Can I call them and have them apply this now? I also have ressies at HRH for 4 days after Disney that I could have used it on!!

You can only get a discount on that package when you book with a AAA travel agent.

We just did a 4-day MYW package via AAA, and I found that the AAA discount amounted to very little compared to direct booking. We gained a few discount vouchers for off-property restaurants, (ie., Planet Hollywood) and a Storybook Reading which we never used (our boys are 9 and 12, so wrong age bracket) but we gave up having a direct connection to WDW. In other words, if you book through an agent you lose all ability to call WDW directly to confirm, modify reservations etc. Instead you must go through the AAA representative (the same charming lady who snookered me into buying the Dining Plan...!) You don't get a Disney confirmation number. Only a AAA number which is meaningful only to them. AAA also did NOT pass on my specific room request (which fortunately I rectified when we got on-site).

Breathe easy, you're fine. AAA is great for when you are stranded on the roadside and for the occasional motel discount (often trumped by the motel's own "Internet Rate," anyway...) and that's about it.
