We booked a room at the ASmovies almost one year ago. We already have No-expiry park tickets from our trip last December. Can we add the dining plan to our current room reservation? What are the policies or prices? Where do I find out the cost?
Thanks!

You have to buy a package, including tickets, to get the dining plan. So unless you're willing to buy a 1 day ticket and turn your room only reservation into a package, you won't be able to add the dining plan.

yep...what she said. :maleficen

I just tried to do the same thing...A no go! So I am biting the bullet and getting a 3 day ticket.

I really don't like the MYW package. I will never use the planet hollywood or coupon nor do I want the picture. What a gimmick. I am sure we are paying for it in the price but I do want the DP. I think that is so worth it.

Those are just ancilliary aspects of the MYW package -- the main benefit of the MYW package is the package itself. Indeed, perhaps the most compelling reason, these days, to consider the MYW package, is solely to qualify for the Dining Plan.

What is the latest you can add DDP to your vacation package?

If you already have a package including tickets you can call and add dining up to a few days before you arrive, I'm not sure if it's 3 or 4 days in advance. If you have a room only reservation the answer is the same but you'll probably lose any discount you have on your room rate. The chances are the inventory of AAA discounted packages or even code packages with dining will not be available even if they were available when you made your initial reservation.

I called once to price a discount code for December. And since I was only pricing it out, I didn't have any dates in particular that I wanted. The CM said that he got a "pop up" for Coronado Springs vacation package in which the price per night for CS was cheaper than the values (he said this happens randomly when you give the CM flexible dates, but is very rare). I asked for the DDP and he said he could not add it. Then he asked if I would go on hold while he talked to a supervisor. He came back and said he couldn't add it.

My question is if it is a vacation package, why couldn't we add DDP? I'm sure none of you really know, but I know you guys are very smart and can make something up. ;) I would have booked it, except my bf said that DDP was the only request he had.

You can't add dining to some of the deeply discounted room rates. That includes CM, AP, FL Resident and evidently your "pop up" rate. In general dining can only be added to rack rate and AAA discounted room rates, booked through a AAA TA. Dining is a promotion and you can't always stack two promotions.

Some of the promotional room codes have an alternate code that lets you book dining and get the discount.
